‘land of flowing waters’ explores the connections between our climatic and emotional relationships with water. the title suggests prosperity and abundance, while the work speaks of dwindling groundwater reserves, of dammed-up feelings, broken dams and flooding on parched soils. vulnerability is in dialogue with existing power structures.
the audio installation consists of old brass taps which are each linked to a different audio track – the sound of a person crying. the work is activated and can be directed by the person perceiving the installation.
